Back in 2017, I had the opportunity to contribute to the winning proposal for the Port of Tallinn competition for the Old City Harbour.
My task: landmark and the promenade design extending from the cable car and cruise terminals to the tip of the peninsula as well as coordination of the input from traffic engineers and landscape designers for the presentation.

Winning the tender competition back in 2020 for such a valuable historical landmark, one deeply cherished by the people of Antwerp and myself, felt incredibly rewarding. The goal was to create a vision for an immersive tower, a destination for both locals and international tourists walking from the Central Station towards the river. A livable, lovable place where memory meets the future.
The new-old place to be.
My role? Lead Architect. The project is now being further developed by Studio Libeskind, though the main ideas of museum integration, the Stynen foyer, and Square of culture well connected to the surrounding streets remain.

Spending hours in airports can be a stressful experience ,and the Schiphol area is no exception. The concept of the Jatra hotel and residence reacts to its surroundings from the outside while transforming the experience from the inside. It consists of a hard shell that opens up slightly to show the soft heart of the buildings.
Both hotels feature green patios and raised or lowered public platforms that encourage activities and relaxation. Preserving the old tree as a memory of this place was a key inspiration for creating this peaceful oasis for our senses.
My role: lead architect/ designer.
The project was a competition won back in 2018, and with changes of clients (Jatra, Marriott, Elite World), there were adjustments along the way. Projects are still ongoing.

Although Admiral residence is one of the smaller buildings (8 000 m2) within the Oosteroever complex, it enjoys a unique location with exceptional views. This project, the final one to be completed (building permit 2017, finalized Q4 2025), was my responsibility from the initial sketches through to the installation of facade mockups.
From A to Z.
Additionally, I started to design two other buildings for Versluys Groep (residential tower and affordable housing) at the adjacent Vuurtorendok site, which are currently being further developed.

In an era of remote work, the modern office must offer compelling reasons for people to come together. Amenities, community, and a perfectly tailored look & feel are a must.
Developed in partnership with Get Fully Let,
we undertook the interior transformation from the earliest conceptual sketches through to execution.
My responsibilities included not only overall communication with the client - UBS, advisors, the general contractors, and design, but also creating the Revit model, producing detailed drawings, compiling the BOQ, and managing cost estimates independently.
The project is being rolled out in phases, with some areas already completed and others still in progress.

In contrast to my work on the masterplan, I joined the Computation and Design group (CODE) at ZHA, led by Shajay Bhooshan.
My task involved working on the Experimental Geometry Collection, specifically creating paper templates, a model for 3D printing, and a presentation for the client.
Curve crease folding is a technique that uses carefully designed curved folds to transform flat materials into three-dimensional forms with inherent structural stiffness. Achieving these complex forms requires a detailed iteration process, where models are repeatedly refined based on structural analysis and aesthetic considerations.
