Leading and participating in architectural workshops, lectures, and walks has allowed me to observe and understand the diverse ways people view their environment and the design choices they make. I've also enjoyed being involved in public debates, giving lectures, and being featured in several lifestyle and architectural magazines to discuss architecture in both the Czech Republic and Belgium. Please feel free to reach out if you'd like to collaborate or have any questions.
Inspired by years of travel and a mutual passion for design, my friend and I created the Mustroo Instagram profile. This visual diary showcases our findings from numerous expos, fairs, showrooms, and events. Take a look!
Task: Replace a park with a library while preserving as much as possible the green public space.
Insight: Future libraries will be tech-focused community hubs.
Solution: For a narrow Thames-side plot, I proposed an elevated public park concealing the library's main mass. This design increases sun exposure, offers stunning views, and creates a sheltered passage. The park itself functions as a series of diverse little gardens, catering to readers, event-goers, and children, seamlessly blending indoor functions with outdoor spaces and meeting environmental goals. Task: Design a memorable, unique landmark for Miami, distinct from typical high-rise developments.
Insight: The most memorable landmarks often mimic natural phenomena or historical monuments.
Solution: For Miami's warm, harbor-centric climate, my concept centers on a subtle yet striking triangular landmark on the former Noguchi fountain site, deeply connected to the water. A unique underwater tunnel and restaurant links a "hole in the park" to a "hole in the water," integrating the design with Flagler Street's axis and the city's fabric. Its horizontal design ensures visibility from a distance and from skyscraper terraces. Walking on the triangular structure gives visitors the sensation of being amidst the sea, offering a simple, symbolic, and dynamic experience that minimizes park interference.
